Who we are

GrahaVaani is a Vedic astrology (Jyotish) service that lets you generate your kundli and talk to an AI astrologer about your chart. It is operated by EkaVaani Infotech Pvt Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in India with its registered office in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, which is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Information we collect

Phone number. When you sign in, we verify your phone number through Firebase Phone Authentication (Google) to create and secure your account.

Birth details you provide. For each kundli you create, we collect the date, time, and place of birth, plus any name or label you add. These are needed to compute your chart and personalise your readings.

Chat content. The questions you ask and the conversations you have with the AI astrologer are stored so we can provide the feature and show your history.

Payment information. When you buy a plan or report, our payment processor (Dodo Payments) collects and handles your payment details. We receive a record of the transaction — such as amount, currency, product, and status — but not your full card number.

Usage and device data. We collect app version, language, coarse region, and anonymous product-analytics events. Our analytics are configured not to carry personal identifiers such as your name or phone number.

Technical logs. For security and reliability we process IP address, timestamps, and error diagnostics.

How we use your information

We use your information to: generate charts and personalise your readings; run the AI chat; process payments and track your question credits; create, secure, and support your account and prevent abuse; understand and improve the product; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. Your account data — your phone number, birth details, chats, and payment records — is never shared with or used by advertisers; the ads described under “Advertising” — on our public content pages, and the optional rewarded videos in the app — have no access to any of it.

How the AI chat works

To answer your questions, the relevant facts from your chart and the messages you send are transmitted to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes them solely to generate the reply you see. Do not share information in chat that you would not want processed for this purpose.

Service providers we share data with

We share data only with providers who process it on our behalf to run GrahaVaani: Firebase / Google (phone sign-in), Dodo Payments (payments), Anthropic (AI responses), Mixpanel (anonymous analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), and our hosting providers Vercel and Railway.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and service.

Advertising

Our public reference pages — such as the nakshatra, rashi, panchang, festival, and transit guides — may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure these ads and, where permitted, to personalise them; that processing is governed by Google’s own privacy policy, and you can control ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Where the law requires it, you are shown a consent choice before any personalised ads load.

In the Android app, you can choose to watch an optional rewarded video ad in exchange for a wallet credit. These ads are served by Google AdMob and play only when you tap the offer — never during normal use. AdMob may process your device’s advertising identifier to serve and measure them, under Google’s own privacy policy; you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android’s system settings. When you finish a video, Google notifies our server so we can add the credit to your wallet — beyond the internal account reference needed to deliver that credit, we share no account data with AdMob.

Other than the rewarded videos you choose to watch, ads never appear in your signed-in experience, and no data from your account is shared with advertising partners.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete a kundli or your account, the associated data is deleted or anonymised, except where we must retain certain records — for example, transaction records kept to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Your rights and choices

You can access and correct your details in the app, delete an individual kundli, and delete your entire account and its associated data at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request a copy of your data or object to certain processing. To make a request, email support@grahavaani.com.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account from within the app, which removes your profile, kundlis, and chat history (subject to the limited records noted under Data retention). If you need help, email support@grahavaani.com and we will action your request.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

GrahaVaani is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact support@grahavaani.com and we will delete it.

International processing

GrahaVaani is operated from India, and your information may be processed in India and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using GrahaVaani you consent to this processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
