Vedic Astrology Remedies
Every graha has four classical remedies — a stone, a mantra, a weekday fast and a charity. Three of them are safe for anyone to begin today. The fourth can make things worse, and most of the internet will sell it to you anyway.
Read this before buying a gemstone
A planetary gem amplifies whatever its graha is already doing in your chart. If that planet is a functional benefic for your lagna, the stone helps; if it is a functional malefic, the same stone strengthens the thing you were trying to fix. This is why every gemstone page here carries a twelve-row lagna table instead of a buy button, and why the two nodes — Rahu and Ketu — are withheld from most charts entirely. Mantra, fasting and charity carry no such risk: they address a planet without amplifying it.

Gemstone
माना जाता है कि ग्रह-रत्न अपने ग्रह की किरणों को ग्रहण कर संचारित करता है, इसीलिए शास्त्रीय उपायों में यह सबसे प्रबल हस्तक्षेप है — और अकेला ऐसा जो स्थिति बिगाड़ भी सकता है। यह वही बढ़ाता है जो ग्रह आपकी कुंडली में पहले से कर रहा है, इसलिए यह कुंडली देखकर बताया जाता है, इच्छा देखकर नहीं।
Mantra
मंत्र शास्त्रीय उपायों में सबसे सुरक्षित है: आज ही आरंभ किया जा सकता है, इसमें व्यय नहीं, और रत्न की तरह यह कुंडली के विरुद्ध नहीं पड़ता। संख्या — निर्धारित जप-गणना — सप्ताहों में पूरी की जाती है, प्रतिदिन एक माला यानी 108 से आरंभ करके धीरे-धीरे बढ़ाते हुए। यहां गणित से अधिक भाव का महत्व है।
Weekday fast
वार-व्रत घर-घर का उपाय है — ग्रह के अपने दिन रखा जाता है, प्रायः सूर्यास्त के बाद एक बार भोजन और नमक का त्याग। यह अनुष्ठान जितना है उतना ही अनुशासन: बात साप्ताहिक संयम की है, इतने समय तक निभाया गया कि उसका अर्थ बने।
Charity
दान किसी विशेष ग्रह के निमित्त, उसके दिन, और उसके कारकत्व से मिलाकर दिया जाता है। शास्त्रीय दृष्टि से यह वह उपाय है जो तब काम आता है जब रत्न संकटपूर्ण हो — यह ग्रह को बढ़ाए बिना उसे संबोधित करता है, इसीलिए राहु और शनि के लिए, जहां रत्न रोका जाता है, दान बताया जाता है।
