Best placed in the ವಾಯವ್ಯ
The north-west is the corner of movement, which the tradition reads as suiting children approaching the age of leaving — students, and young adults about to move out.
What the ವಾಯವ್ಯ governs
The north-west — Vayavya — is the air corner: movement, circulation, things that come and go. Guests, storage in transit and utilities sit here easily, and nothing meant to be permanent does.
Where the ಬಚ್ಚೋಂ ಕಾ ಕಕ್ಷ belongs
A child’s room is read differently from the master bedroom: it wants movement, growth and morning light rather than weight. The tradition is also more relaxed here, and school-age and adult children are often placed differently.
