If it cannot be moved
Water in the fire corner is the mandala’s clearest contradiction — the tradition treats a tank here as elements working against each other. Where it cannot move, keep it covered and closed and shift the electrical and heating load away from it.
What the આગ્નેય governs
The south-east — Agneya — is the fire corner, and it is where fire belongs. The kitchen, the boiler, the electrical load: the tradition puts heat here because heat placed elsewhere is held to disturb the zone it lands in.
Where the જલ ટંકી belongs
Water storage is the clearest case of the mandala’s logic: underground water goes to the water corner, overhead tanks to the heavy one. Getting this backwards — a tank overhead in the north-east, a sump in the south-west — is among the faults the tradition treats most seriously.
